There was a hot-mic on 2nd plt. for the first hour or so. We have expensive radios that work perfectly. We had NO problems getting in contact with each other and other squads across the entire field. Heck, even from emerald city to the parking lot we had comms. But for some reason, we were not able to contact our 2nd PLT. CO, XO, or RTO all day. I find this to be a problem - the Plt. RTO should have a working, functioning, proper radio for the job. He should have two or THREE functioning radios, and he should be at a reasonable location to contact all squads through out the day. If you cannot do that, don't take the RTO SPOT! We could have easily fielded an RTO, and I'm sure others could have as well, so if you can't do it - don't volunteer!

Same with the Plt. LT. and XO. Where were you guys? Why were we not in contact with you? Where were our orders? I talked to India in person 2-3 times, and I got some simple orders such as "There's a force planning to attack here, go join them," or information about a helo, or a suggested plan of attack. Not once did I get a single order from you, Buloushie, or our Plt. CoC. This saddens me. There were obviously plenty of people who would have taken the spot - I volunteered when you were late to the platoon leader briefing, but India denied my request as someone else who had already offered to take the spot.

So no contact, you were late even though you camped - you introduced yourself to our compound Friday night. You have no excuse for being late. Get in the chrono line early, get your things together, and get down there. The chrono line moved fast, too, by the way. Saying it was slow isn’t an excuse. If you aren't there before your troops, you're late. And you somehow show up to the biggest event in Ohio's HISTORY, wearing an OD top and Tan bottoms. I expect more from a Lt.

Our briefing was less than stellar, too. Not by X-ray or India, but the one done by our Plt. leaders. Duo chan had to scream for the squad leaders to group up. Isn't that the XO's job? Our briefing was MAYBE one minute, if that. We were told "YOU GO THIS WAY, YOU GO THIS WAY, YOU GO THIS WAY!" Basically, we were told to assault brown-town...after that, no comm, no contact, no nothin'. As is the story I've heard a thousand times from every person I’ve talked to.

And as I recall, Buloushie, I was yelling at you at one point early in the assault on brown-town to move up. I wasn't even an SL. When you're sitting in the open, behind concealment, right off the middle of a main path, you're sitting in the wrong place. It took a LOT of words to get people to move all day - so use your words next time, and sit behind cover when you do. Inferno is right - our platoon leadership was sad, and I could have sworn you guys were normal grunts.

Your attempt to pass the buck to Evil Head really just pisses me off. Ray yelled at people to move, do shit, or leave. I agreed with him entirely. He didn't swear at anyone individually, he wasn't mean to anyone, and you blaming him for players leaving is, quite frankly, pathetic. Don't do that! Come on, man. I've been talking to players about that, and we all agree - You don't blame the people underneath you for your failures as a Lt. You accept the blame, you move on.

Buloushie, no offense to you personally, you seem like a cool dude though I didn’t get to speak with you that much. I had a great time, but the CoC at the platoon level was horrendous. I wouldn’t be complaining if it wasn’t the premier Milsim event in Ohio, and it was a rag-tag game, but it was the biggest game in Ohio’s history. I have to voice my, and a lot of other people’s frustrations, even if it has been done before. This CoC at platoon level, at least for 2nd platoon, was a failure, and we’re not happy about it. It spoiled a lot of the fun that the strikers had in line for a lot of players.

So everyone learn a lesson here. If you can’t fill the position properly, let someone else do it so we can get things done! And if you want me to step up and try, Buloushie, I gladly will, as I stated and tried. So I'm not complaining just to run my mouth. Again, nothing against you personally, but a lot of people are not happy with how things went.
There you go, guys. My post on Airsoftevents private forums.
